Guided Mountain Walks and Walking Holidays

Guided Mountain Walks in the Lake District

For 2021 we are providing private and small group guided and self-guided walking holidays and short breaks from our beautifully positioned guest house in Natland, Kendal. The historic town of Kendal is less than a mile from the boundary of the Lake District National Park and is commonly referred to as the “Gateway to the Lakes.” With its excellent transport links it makes the ideal base to explore not only the beautiful Lake District (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), but also the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), Forest of Bowland, Eden Valley, North Pennines, Furness Peninsula, and parts of the Yorkshire Dales.

Guided Walking Holidays and Short-breaks in the Lake District.

During our Lake District guided mountain walks we will ascend mountains, explore hidden corries, discover towering buttresses, traverse airy ridges and enjoy far reaching views. Many of our walks will climb Alfred Wainwright’s favourite peaks confirming you are exploring the most majestic summits and the best in mountain architecture and character. In selected breaks we may even include a Via Ferratta bringing a new dimension to mountain adventure and providing an exciting day out.

All our guided mountain walks are led by a trained and knowledgeable mountain leader who will bring the mountains to life and ensure you have a safe and memorable day. Walks are graded (easy, classic and challenging) and we travel at a relaxed pace providing plenty of time to unwind and enjoy the magnificent scenery.

Our private and small group guided mountain walks are fully catered, can be booked on a date to suit you and last for 2 or more nights. We can even provide transport to and from Oxenholme railway station or Kendal coach station. Oxenholme lies on the Main West Coast Railway Line providing direct links to London, Glasgow, Manchester Airport and Windermere, allowing you to relax and leave the car at home. Oxenholme railway station is less than 5 minutes away so just let us know what time you will arrive.
