At 8.00am on Monday 24th May Clive left St David’s and began his walk around Wales. After a quiet start encouraging conversations were held with all ages and both Christian and non-Christians were challenged by the sight of the cross.

Early on Tuesday morning Clive was interviewed by Radio Pembrokeshire. As part of their local news bulletin the interview was broadcast hourly throughout the day. Listeners were encouraged to phone in and report the cross’ progress instigating the “Cross Watch” programme. As a result many motorists acknowledged Clive with a toot of their car horn.

Soldiers who had observed Clive during manoeuvres on Monday and Tuesday stopped and asked why on Wednesday. Imagine the soldiers’ comments during Wednesday evening conversation.

An interesting pub discussion must have been started by the atheist ‘skinhead’ who photographed Clive and took literature to show his mates. Please pray for the non-believing evangelist.

Please pray for all those who saw the cross and felt either called, challenged or encouraged.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth.”

Acts 1:8
